Other Ensembles

Rock 101

Rock 101 is a class that meets everyday during 6th hour. It is an auditioned group that generally consists of a singer, 2 guitars, bass, drummer, and keyboard player. Students learn and perform songs in various styles of rock. They also learn about the history and progression of rock, as well as some of the note worthy musicians. Performances include the Homecoming Tailgate, Pep Assemblies, Basketball Games, and May Fete. Terence Mayhue, Assistant Director of Bands at McKendree University, also comes out and works with Rock 101.

Pit Ensemble

The Pit Ensemble is an extracurricular group that is part of the Spring Musical. Instrumentation and auditions will vary depending on the show, but it is open to any band member.
